Man, going back home after a looooong trip feels like a reunion every time. The buzz in the air, the familiar faces—nothing beats performing back in my hometown. If there’s one thing I can say about this weekend’s homecoming performance in Dipolog City, it’s that the energy is always amazing!
Two nights, three different venues, but one consistent fire burning in the crowd. It’s these moments that fuel my passion for what I do, and Dipolog City always manages to remind me why I fell in love with this craft in the first place.
Friday Night Blast at WEClub
Kicking off the weekend at WEClub was a homecoming celebration. Teaming up with DJ Ravasz and DJ Floyd Buenaflor, we dished out beats that kept the crowd moving from midnight till the early hours. I shared the stage with the big mouth, Jef Caram and the energy was on another level. It felt incredible to be welcomed back with such enthusiasm. Massive thanks to WEClub for giving me the stage for a memorable homecoming performance.
Saturday Night Kick-off at Happy Hour Restobar
Saturday was a whirlwind, starting with a pre-game set at Happy Hour Restobar alongside the “Big Mouth” again, Jef Caram. The hype was extraordinaire! We set the scene, getting everyone in the mood for what was to come. Our goal was simple: warm up the crowd for the explosive party with Liqweed band and DJ Warren Mendoza. Hats off to Crowd Production for bringing me and be part of the night’s magic.
Jingle Bass Saturday at Cove Bar
But wait, the night was just getting warmed up! The homecoming performance hype was real at Cove Bar Dipolog.
Taking over the decks as the prime performer with MC Big Mac to cap off Saturday night was a whole new rush. Huge props to DJ Iyenn (@dj_iyenn) for getting the party started and setting the stage on fire, because the crowd was already in full party mode by the time I hit the decks. There’s something about that kind of energy that just propels you into overdrive. We sprinkled some jingle bass tunes into the mix, riding on the Christmas holiday spirit. The crowd was hyped, and it was pure bliss. Big shoutout to Cove Bar’s resident DJ Tom (@tommorandarte) for his closing set and made it even more a memorable jingle bass night.
Seeing friends cheering me on made it all the more special — the shared moments, the smiles, and the pure joy of being back home, doing what I love most. Everything about it was special to me. The night flew by faster than I could’ve imagined, but it left me on a high that’s hard to put into words.
Each gig had its own flavor, its own vibe, but they all had one thing in common: Dipolog City’s undeniable spirit and love for music. Coming back and feeling that overwhelming support, that’s what keeps the fire burning inside me. Every performance, every beat drop, and every smile in the crowd reminded me why I fell in love with DJing.
